Die 0,5 bis 1 m hohe Pflanze kommt in den gemäßigten Zonen auf der nördlichen Erdhalbkugel vor. Die kleinen gelben Blüten sitzen an einem stängelartig aufragenden Ährenstand. Die stacheligen Früchte sind wie eine Klette. In der Bachblütentherapie wird Agrimony hauptsächlich eingesetzt bei der Verdrängung von Problemen und Ängsten, Furcht vor Konflikten, bei künstlichem, vorgespielten Verhalten, innerer Ruhelosigkeit, dem Überspielen der eigenen Probleme und bei Drogenproblemen. Im transformierten Zustand steht Agrimony für die Echte Freude, für Ausgeglichenheit, Tiefe und Konzentrationsfähigkeit .The species grow to between 0.5-2 m tall, with interrupted pinnate leaves, and yellow flowers borne on a single (usually unbranched) spike.
