Die Blattstiele sind bis zu 1,5 m lang und an den Kanten mit Zähnen besetzt. Die dicht behaarten Blütenstände sind rispig verzweigt. Die Früchte sind etwa 3 cm große, tief purpurfarbene bis schwarze einsamige Beeren.
