Man findet die 15-20 cm hohe Pflanze auf kalkhaltigen Böden, trockenen, hügligen Weiden und auf Dünen. Es gibt viele verschiedene Arten von Enzian, jedoch wird bei den Bachblüten nur der Bittere Enzian eingesetzt. Der Enzian ist eine zweijährige Pflanze. Die 5-blättrigen, purpurnen - violetten Blüten blühen von August bis Anfang Oktober. Als Bachblüte wird Gentian verordnet bei Mangel an Durchhaltevermögen, inkonsequentem Handeln, Entmutigung, Willensschwäche, Mutlosigkeit, Schwarzseherei, sowie bei Rückfällen bei Heilungsprozessen. Gentian steigert das Vertrauen, den Glauben und führt zu einer problemlosen Konfliktlösung. Gentiana is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the Gentian family (Gentianaceae). This is a cosmopolitan genus, occurring in alpine habitats of temperate regions of Asia, Europe and the Americas. Gentian (Gentiana Amarella) is the Bach Flower Remedy for the relatively mild downheartedness and despondency that follows when something has gone wrong. As soon as things start to go right again this kind of despondency tends to lift by itself, but the remedy can be used to lift it the sooner so that the person is better able to make things go right, instead of just hoping they will do so. Gentian develops confidence, trust and positive life attitude.
