Der Strauch, der bis zu 2 Meter hoch werden kann, bevorzugt steinige Böden, trockene Weiden und Heideland, jedoch meidet er kalkhaltige Böden. Der Stechginster blüht bereits im Winter und widersteht dem Schnee und der Kälte. Menschen im Gorse Zustand sehen nicht mehr optimistisch in die Zukunft und können sich daher auf nichts mehr richtig freuen. Sie haben eine pessimistische Lebenseinstellung und rechnen schon damit, dass sich ihre Wünsche und Pläne nicht erfüllen. Sie sind hoffnungslos, haben innerlich aufgegeben und sehen keinen Sinn mehr in ihrem Leben. Im transformierten Zustand entwickelt sich ein positive Erwartungshaltung, hoffnung und Optimismus. Gorse is closely related to the brooms, and like them, has green stems and very small leaves and adapts to dry growing conditions, but differs in its extreme spininess, with the leaves being modified into 1-4 cm long spines. All the species have yellow flowers, some with a very long flowering season. Gorse is the Bach Flower Remedy for people who have given up belief that there is any hope for them. Under persuasion or to please others they may try different treatments, at the same time assuring those around that there is so little hope of relief. Gorse helps to get positiv attitude towards life, develops hope and optimism.
