Das Heidekraut gedeiht auf feuchten oder sumpfigen Böden, aber auch auf sandigem bzw. trockenem Heideland. Am häufigsten ist das Heidekraut im Gebirge und in Mooren zu finden. Die Blütezeit der kleinen, 4- blättrigen rosa- purpurnen Blüten ist von August bis September. In der Bachblüten Therapie sind Heather-Typen sehr gesellig, möchten beliebt und geachtet sein und stehen gerne im Mittelpunkt. Sie lieben es bewundert und geschätzt zu werden. Sie leiden unter Minderwertigkeitsgefühlen, möchten sich dies aber nicht eingestehen. Sie sind stark selbstbezogen und haben ein enorm starkes Selbstdarstellungs Bedürfnis. Im transformierten Zustand stärkt Heather das Einfühlungsvermögen, fördert Verständnis, Geborgenheit und aktiviert das Interesse am Umfeld. It is a low-growing perennial shrub growing to 20 to 50 centimetres tall, or rarely to 1 metre, and is found widely in Europe and Asia Minor on acidic soils in open sunny situations and in moderate shade.
