Die Kiefer kann bis zu 35 m hoch werden. Sie ist ein immergrüner Baum und seine Rinde ist rotbraun. Man findet ihn Wäldern und auf kargen sandigen Böden. Sowohl die männlichen, als auch die weiblichen Blüten befinden sich am gleichen Baum. Die männlichen Blüten bilden eine Traube kleiner gelber Kugeln und die weiblichen zapfenfömige rote Blüten. Die Blütezeit ist im Mai. In der Bachblüten Therapie wird Pine verordnet bei allen formen von Schuldgefühlen, bei Perfektionszwang, Autoritätshörigkeit, Gewissensbissen, Selbst-Verurteilung, schlechtem Gewissen, moralischen Zwängen, zwanghafter Anständigkeit und bei Minderwertigkeitsgefühlen. Pines are coniferous trees in the genus Pinus, in the family Pinaceae. Pines are native to most of the Northern Hemisphere. Pines are evergreen and resinous trees growing to 3–80 m tall, with the majority of species reaching between 15-45 m tall. The bark of most pines is thick and scaly, but some species have thin, flaking bark. The branches are produced in regular "pseudo whorls", actually a very tight spiral but appearing like a ring of branches arising from the same point.
